1. FONLAD - Digital Arts Festival is an event organized by the IC Zero Association and Cooperative Castles Theatre, being the year of 2012 the year of its eighth edition. It is intended to promote the digital productions of several artists who approach the new technologies in contemporary art.
2. The Festival is open to all national and international artists working at the level of digital arts and new technologies;
3. The On Line Festival of Digital Arts will run between May 14 and November 25, having a digital version, lodge in the page of the festival in the Internet (www.fonlad.net) and several events such screenings and video installations.
4. The main theme’s Festival is "Performing Acts".
5. The participation in the festival is free. All interested artists may participate by fulfilling a submission form, which will include: name, nationality, email address, website, brief resume of artistic, technical details of the work [title, format and technique] and text illustrating the work presented.
6. Each participant can only submit one work in digital format. Each artwork should be submitted only in the following formats:
Web Art - artists must submit only the index and link to the page. Should be submitted in JPEG format (Print Screen of the index). This is the picture published on the web site’s festival, with its link. Images can not exceed 2MB.
Photography and digital painting - JPEG not exceeding 2MB.
Video and animation - Artists submit the link to the page where the video is posted (own site, vimeo, youtube, etc.) and a frame of it. Images cannot be greater than 2MB. Videos no more than 5 mn. If selected for presentation in the screenings planned, artists must send by regular mail the work on CD / DVD (MPEG or MOV in editable format).
7. After selecting the artists should send a copy of the work in an appropriate format to be displayed / exposed. This copy should be always accompanied by the declaration of transfer of rights of sound, image and display. This declaration must be signed by the artist, scanned and re-mailed. Artists who submit their works by ordinary mail (video works for projection) should send the same along with the CD / DVD.
8. The works should be sent by 31 March 2012, to the attention of Festival FONLAD together with the submission form and the statement of transferring rights of image, sound and display, to the following address: fonlad.festival@gmail.com. Pieces received after that date or not accompanied by the registration form and declaration of assignment of rights of sound, image display and will be excluded from the festival. At the time of receipt of the materials will be sent by the manager of the festival, an email confirming receipt.
9. In the case of selection videographic works should be sent on CD / DVD editable to the following address:

10. All projects that do not meet all requirements in this regulation will be excluded.
11. After the event, the organization reserves the right to store the images / videos received with the aim of building a gallery of digital projects. During the Festival the digital images will remain online and will have links to the websites of participating artists. Printed images and videos received will be included in the Collection of the Festival and used in future exhibitions of disclosure. Whenever this happens the artists will be notified.
12. Participation in any of the events of the festival implies acceptance of these rules by the artist.
13. The emissive cases situations to these regulations will count on an applicability and resolution of the commission’s festival.
