xTNZ is a virtual garden, a metaphor to an pristine anthropomorphic Eden. It is an idealized 3d Pc-based ecosystem, a “living” environment where creatures behave and interact with each others, reproduce according to eventual interaction and change their own properties (such as visual appearance or dimensions) according to evolutionary regulators, such as cross-over and mutation. xTNZ is a comment on the post-human condition of contemporary society, on McLuhan's notion of technology extending the body. The initial human body references used as input (images of muscles and other organs tissue are used as textures on the creatures skin; chewing or other body sounds as the creatures screams) evolves over time according to the creatures' autonomous interactions. An unpredictable visual representation of the world emerges; shapes evolve in time according to the creature's behaviour. Textures blend when mutated reproduction occurs, and the same happens with sounds.
